Charter chapter of the American Copy Editors Society
Grammar Slammer 2007

About us

Copy editors from the Southeast began meeting before the American Copy Editors Society was formed. We became the first chapter of ACES.

Recently, we have been meeting roughly every six months to two years. So far, we have met in Georgia and the Carolinas.

Membership in ACES national is not required to participate in the chapter. The chapter has no dues. But all-day regional conferences have a fee that covers lunch.

Mailing list

The Southeast Chapter has a Yahoo mailing list to keep copy editors informed of meetings and to provide a place to ask questions and make comments related to chapter activities.

Please join us and help keep the conversation flowing. (You do not have to be a member of the American Copy Editors Society to join, though we do encourage everyone to consider joining the national organization and attend its yearly conference.)
